Recent Barrington Broncos Varsity News

Kyle and Ryne Krueger were recently honored by the Chicago Blackhawks Youth Referee Spotlight for their many years of working as youth referees.  They attended a Blackhawks game and met with the NHL refs.  Congratulations Kyle and Ryne!

On November 30, BBHC will host our annual Middle School Hockey night.  This is an opportunity for middle school players to come out and enjoy watching some high school hockey.  

This fun-filled evening includes pizza, pop, t-shirts and a raffle - culminating with a BBHC Varsity game.

Mark your calendars and tell your friends. More details, including registration, will be sent in November.  We hope to see you there!

Team Illinois is America's Showcase Team Champions!

Congratulations to Gary Barbera and Team Illinois for beating Pittsburgh in the final game 6-3 to become the America's Showcase Champions!  Gary had three goals and two assists in the tournament. Way to go!

Team USA is the World Deaf Hockey Champions!

Ryne Krueger, senior defenseman for the Barrington Broncos, was selected to represent the United States  in the World Deaf Hockey Championships in Amherst, New York. The team Is comprised of 22 players from 13 different states and players range in age from 17-32. Team USA won gold by beating Team Canada 6-3 in the finals.  Way to go Team USA!  We are so proud of you!

Thanks so much to Joannie Petrungaro for organizing such a memorable event for our senior players.  It was so nice to see Alumni parents, BHS students and our BBHC families in attendance.  Thank you to all who helped Joannie with the program, set up and clean up.  We truly appreciate all who contribute their time and effort to our organization.  Congratulations Seniors!
