Barrington Broncos Varsity won the u18AA/HS Varsity division this weekend at the MLK "Big Chill" tournament in Detroit. Broncos JV came in with a 2nd place finish in an OT/shootout loss in the finals. Way to go Broncos!

Lukas Van Ness, a 3 year varsity defenseman for Barrington, signs his National Letter of Intent, December 18th, to play football for the University of Iowa. Van Ness, a dual sport athlete, chose the Hawkeyes after receiving 31 Division 1 football offers over the past year. Congratulations Lukas!
Ryne Krueger, 21, of Barrington Il, skated as a member of the US Men’s National Deaf Ice Hockey Team that defeated Canada to win gold at the 19th Winter Deaflympics on December 21, 2019. The 19th Winter Deaflympics were held December 12–21, 2019, in Valtellina Valchiavenna, Italy. The competition was organized by the International Committee of Sports for the Deaf and sanctioned by the International Olympic Committee, IOC.
Ryne was one of 16 players on Team USA who previously competed internationally as a member of U.S. teams. He won a gold medal at the 2017 World Deaf Ice Hockey Championships in Amherst.
A 2017 graduate of Barrington High School, Ryne played defense for the Barrington Broncos hockey club all four years of high school. Congratulations Ryne!
It was a great weekend of Broncos Hockey! With a 2-1 record in bracket play, Broncos JV just missed the semi's by a tie-breaker scenario with GBN JV. Broncos Varsity made it to the finals with wins against, St. Ignatius, GBN and Providence. Despite coming up short in the finals against New Trier Green, it was a great tournament for both teams. Jack Jones and Max Scodius earned All-Tournament honors. Keep it going Broncos!

Barrington Broncos Hockey Director and Varsity Head Coach Steve Martins was honored in a pre-game ceremony at the Chicago Wolves game on Feb. 17th. He earned the team’s Tim Breslin Unsung Hero award in 2009 and ranks ninth on the Wolves’ all-time lists for assists (129) and points (193).

Parents and players from JV and Varsity got together for our annual Homecoming float building. This year's theme is "Hawaiian Homecoming - Ride the Tide." Thank you to Jenn and Rob Adams for hosting and to Chris Parisi, Parisi Paving, for providing the trailer. Homecoming Parade is Saturday, October 8th.

The Barrington Broncos Hockey Club (“BBHC”) strives to provide students in good standing at Barrington High School an opportunity to play hockey at the highest level available for their age group, while simultaneously representing their high school and fellow students through athletics. BBHC will provide its players with the highest level of training available in any program. The BBHC will focus on developing a feeder program and a varsity program that can compete with any high school or midget program.
The combination of development through teamwork, respect and commitment, in addition to the dedication it will take to compete effectively at these high levels of competition, will develop character and skills in BBHC players which can be used throughout their lives.High school hockey in Illinois is a club sport organized under the American Hockey Association of Illinois (AHAI). The Barrington Broncos Hockey Club was organized in 1974 and is affiliated as a club sport with the Barrington High School. The Barrington Broncos Hockey Club is a separate organization responsible for its own revenues and expenditures and does not receive any monetary assistance from the high school. Varsity letters and Junior Varsity awards are provided by the same company that supplies the high school and are awarded at our annual year end banquet.
