The Barrington Broncos Hockey Club hosted another successful Alumni Night on November 22nd. Over fifty players returned to the ice playing in either the Over 30 or Under 30 game. Players were welcomed back to the club by current Varsity and Junior Varsity players. Thank you to Laura Jones and the committee for organizing such a great night!
Next year’s Alumni Night Games will be held on Wednesday, November 21st. Any alumni players who are not receiving the announcements are encouraged to connect via Facebook to the Alumni Group or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to be added to the distribution lists.
Thank you to all current families for making this event a success and thank you to the alumni who returned to play. It is always great to see you and to hear of your continued success.
The Barrington Broncos Hockey Club is celebrating more than 30 years of high school hockey excellence. This proud tradition was fostered by the play of our alumni and supported by our alumni families. Over the years we have lost touch with many of you and we’d like to reconnect with you all. Along with our new web site, we have a new focus on building the Bronco hockey tradition. We need your help and we want to include you in the fun.
There are a number of ways to participate and stay involved. First, if you simply register by clicking on the Facebook (BHS Hockey Alumni) link below and join the open group, we will make sure that you get timely updates on the team’s progress throughout the year. You will also be sure to get invited to the annual alumni game and reunion. Our first annual alumni game and reunion was held on November 22, 2006 at Barrington Ice Arena. The game featured able-bodied alumni in a no-check, but fast-paced match up. To keep up with the current team, check out the FB link below (Barrington Broncos Hockey Club) or the Undergrad's site (Barrington HS Hockey).
Last, but not least, hockey is an expensive sport and the club receives no financial support at all from the high school. Costs for ice time and equipment have increased much faster than inflation largely as a result of increased energy costs. Please take a moment to make a donation by clicking the link below. The proceeds will go to an Alumni Scholarship Fund to support undergraduates who want to play but cannot afford the fees. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
